MOELCA was established in year 1982 with the purpose to assemble, develop and supply technical service for medical scientific equipment.

MOELCA was originally situated in Cavaria (VA) (legal and operative office)

In year 1995 the company obtained ISO 9002 Certification for activities related to Technical Service.

However MOELCA  was already operating in the field of development and production of medical and scientific laboratory equipment.

In year 2002 the company bought a new building in Limido Comasco for offices, warehouse and production area where the two existing offices were moved. The wide area of the new facility allowed and allows now at the company to operate consistently with its ambitions.

In year 2003 MOELCA obtained UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 Certification for all activities, including project area and production.

In year 2009 the Quality Management System was updated to UNI EN ISO 9001:2008.

In year 2018 the Quality Management System was updated to UNI EN ISO 9001:2015.

Pursuing the aim of internal improvement and for marketing reasons, the Company decided to start the implementation of UNI EN ISO 13485:2004, and obtained due certification in year 2010. This certification was updated in year 2012 according to the UNI EN 13485:2012 and in year 2018 according to the UNI EN 13485:2016.

In year 2019, after the change of the Company Name (from “MOELCA S.r.l.” to “MO.EL.CA. s.n.c.) and the contemporary sale of a branch of the activity related the production of devices for hospital blood bank devices, MO.EL.CA. obtained a new Certification for the remaining activities still in place, according with UNI EN ISO 9001:2015.
